Today I’m going to be sharing with you the planner that I use to stay on track and plan out my workouts. The Lorna Jane “Move Nourish Believe” 2016 Fit Diary is the perfect tool for staying consistent with your workouts. I absolutely love the encouragement, recipes, and planning tools that this planner contains. I’m so excited to share it with you guys!
First and foremost, staying on track with workouts has never been a strong suit of mine. In the past, I wouldn’t see results as quickly as I would want to, and I would get discouraged and eventually give up. I’m 100% a believer in recording my workouts, because of so many reasons. It’s so rewarding to look back and see all of the wonderful things that your body has accomplished. YOU are uniquely and wonderfully made. YOU are worthy of giving yourself a pat on the back for a job well done, as well as extending grace to yourself when you fall off of the ‘fitness train.’ I’ve been there time and time again, but at the end of the day, it’s not about solely appearances. God loves you so much that he created you uniquely in His image. All the things that society tells you about yourself that isn’t good enough is just a devastating lie. Work out and eat healthy because you can. Do it to honor your body as a temple of the Lord. Don’t do it to look like someone else, shame, or restrict yourself. Life is about so much more than appearances.
With that being said, here is a little glimpse into my fit diary!
First of all, how cute is this front page? I just had to include it!
Throught the planner they include some awesome recipes! I can’t wait to try some of them out!
Throught the planner, you will find some amazing words of encouragement! I love reading these on days that I don’t feel like I’ve accomplished much.
At the beginning of each month, there’s a page for setting your goals. There is a section for fitness, relationships, work, and nutrition. I love that they include a bullet-style list as well. This is a great way to get organized at the beginning of a new month (which I clearly still need to do!)
Lastly, here is the section for recording your workouts and nutrition. I don’t personally count calories or weigh myself, but do whatever suits you best. I like to write down the duration of my workouts (both cardio & weights), what specific exercises I did, and if I stretched. At the bottom, I like to write a note on the day that I decide to have my treat for the week so I don’t go overboard.
I really hope that you guys enjoyed learning about what I use to organize and plan my workouts. On Lorna Jane’s website, the MNB Fit Diary is on sale for $10! It’s such a great deal for something that you will use pretty much every day of the year. I know it’s already March, but it’s never to late to start planning your workouts more effectively. Let me know if you are going to be picking this up!
