What’s in my Carry on Bag + Perfect Outfit for Travel

Today I’m sharing the next segment of my vacation style series! I’ll be sharing with you the items that I always pack for flights, and some tips to avoid over packing. I definitely worry prior to traveling, but have come up with a way to make packing a carry on more fun than stressful. I’ve been that person that’s stayed up the night before a trip worrying about what I”ve forgotten. I’m here to show you that less is more when traveling! Being critical when packing your bag will definitely help relieve any airport stress. Nothing is worse than running across an airport with way too heavy luggage! If you stick around to the end of the post, I’m going to show you a perfectly comfy & polished travel outfit.

First things first, how adorable is this tote from Target? It is literally so inexpensive and it’s perfect for traveling. The tassel is probably my favorite part! I know what some of you may be thinking. You’re probably thinking that this bag is way too small to possibly fit all of your carry on items in. This is where my less is more tip comes into play. Finding a carry on bag that is not obnoxiously huge will help you be more intentional about the number of items that you decide to pack.

Now for the good part, what exactly is in my carry on bag?

  1. Reading Material – Essential for any flight!
  2. Face Moisturizer/Facial Spray – I always pack my favorites from LUSH
  3. Advil – I’m definitely prone to headaches so I highly recommend bring it!
  4. Tinted Lip Moisturizer – The Fresh brand has my favorite
  5. Eye Cream – Definitely helps in case of excessive dryness
  6. Compact Mirror – I always bring my Kate Spade one!
  7. Headphones – Pretty self explanatory as of why you should bring them
  8. Wallet – You can’t get too far without money
  9. Emergency Kit – aka stash of feminine products just in case
  10. iPhone Charger – I bring a charger that has two plug ins// mine + hubs
  11. Small Toiletry Bag – Just the essentials in case your luggage goes missing
  12. Small Notebook/Pen – Noticed I didn’t put my planner on this list? When I travel, I like to check out for the week but still bring a notebook to write in case I think of new blog ideas!

My travel essential are pretty much the same as yours. I make sure my Kindle is fully charged because reading is a must for me.

Thank you!! This bag is definitely great for a bunch of different uses! I don’t have a kindle but I love traveling with an iPad! Having those items definitely makes the travel time feel quicker 🙂

  2. Look at how cute that bag is!!!!! Cute outfit also.

I need to be more aware of the crap I put in my carry on but I do also pack some underwear and a change of clothed in case the suitcases get lost .

That bag is too cute! I over pack for everything and had to pay some hefty fees going and coming last time I flew. Better safe than sorry! I haven’t been anywhere that required air travel in years so I can pack as much as I want. These are great tips to remember next time I travel by air!

Thank you so much Hannah! I definitely have had to learn the hard way when it comes to overpacking- it’s such an easy thing to do! I hate the feeling of when you get somewhere & realize you left something important at home haha!
