What I Wore 01.20.18 + Olive Jacket Styling

Some looks just come together effortlessly, do you know what I mean? I experienced a drawn out, internal debate on whether or not to get this olive surplus jacket. Let me say it was one the best investments that I’ve made for my versatile wardrobe. I’ve styled this jacket multiple ways over this past month, but this look has to be my favorite!

As of recent, I haven’t had the energy to put together elaborate outfits in the mornings. I want to have key pieces on hand that are guaranteed to make a statement, but take little thought to put together. This jacket is the perfect piece to style and go. Throw it over a layered tank, chunky knit, or dress. Tie your bandana around your neck, and you’re good to go!

I’ve found that styling a statement piece like this one is so much easier when you know which shades compliment it the best. What’s great about it is, olive is just as neutral as a white or denim. Olive pairs so nicely with black, white, chambray, blush, gray and the list goes on. My best advice would be to stick to mainly neutrals, but pick one color to make a statement. My blush bandana serves as pop of color against the olive jacket!
